Field trip

This Thursday is our FABULOUS field trip to the Northwest Costume Shop, Studio 6 Ballroom and Legendary Donuts.  It doesn't get better than that!!!!  We will be meeting at 12:30.  Watch the clock so we can leave on time.  Natasha, the owner of Sudio 6 Ballroom is having her movement/hip hop teacher be there with us to have fun.

Field Trip

Thursday is our long anticipated field trip to the Northwest Costume Shop, Studio 6 Ballroom and Legendary Donuts.  We will meet in the foyer at 12:40 and return at 2:40.  I forgot to hand out the permission slips last week so please copy off a form and bring it on Thursday.  I will have some on Thursday if you need one.  The trip is always so much fun and the girls have really been looking forward to it!

They are doing such a great job this year.  We have tried new things like singing parts, singing an echo and doing movements to music and they stepped right up to the challenge.

Adventures inusic will be taking a field trip to the Washington Veterans Home in Orting on February 18. We are leaving at 12:30 and returning at 2:40. The students will need to eat their lunch and be in the lobby at 12:30 ready to go. This is our third year going to sing Valentine songs to the veterans. They remember us and our looking forward to us coming. This year they put us on the events calendar so everyone will know to come and watch. The kids have always loved this. Look as Valentine-ish as you want and be ready to really put your hearts into it!!!  We'll make Valentine cards on the the 11th to give to the veterans.

We have our Costume Shop, Studio 6 Ballroom, Legendary Donuts field trip scheduled for April 21st. Does it get any better than that?!?!

Teacher Betty has organized a field trip for the class on February 12th.   We will be performing several songs for the residents of the Old Soldiers Home in Orting.
Because of the drive, we need to leave co-op at 12:20pm.  Choir kids will need to miss third hour class for this field trip.  We will be back by 3:40pm.

We are also learning the chorus from Love One Another, along with sign language.  Another great opportunity to practice at home.

As I have loved you, love one another.

We are starting to learn new songs in preparation for our next concert.  It would be great for the kids to practice singing the lyrics at home.

Update

We had fun last week with our jug band.  They were all so cute playing their instruments and moving to the music.  We LOVE their enthusiasm.  This week we are going on our field trip to Ted Brown Music. This will so much fun.  They set up stations so the kids can see, hear and touch lots of different instruments.  We are leaving at 1:30 and will be back at 2:40.  The students will have to get out of their 3rd hour class a few minutes early and meet in the entry way right at 1:30 so we can be at Ted Brown's by 1:45 to start the tour.  Please get a permission slip off the web site or I will have them to sign during lunch.  I know we're still getting the kinks out of the field trip procedure and I'm sorry the permission slips weren't given out last week.  The process will get smoother with each field trip.
